Liar of Waverly Place

Alex was looking forward to her day upon waking up. She expected a simple day of school, but more importantly, a date with fellow wizard Paul late that evening. She happily skipped downstairs after readying herself for the day. Once down there, her older brother struck up a conversation with her.

"Hey, you remembered to do that homework assignment you were talking about last night, right?  I heard your teacher is pretty strict regarding completion of it."

Alex's heart stopped a moment. She had forgotten, but couldn't let her brother mock her for it. "Oh, right, yes I did it late last night. It wasn't a problem."

Her brother knew she wasn't being honest, and this wasn't the first time either. Alex had been happily making up stories to please whoever she talked to over the past few days. He had had enough of it. When Alex's back was turned preparing to leave for school, he quickly waved his wand to put a spell on her. Today, if Alex ever lied, part of her body would transform and proceed to grow bigger as her lies grew and grew. If Alex told the truth, her body would slowly revert the transformation...but a different part of her would transform if she began to lie again! Her brother figured it would teach her a lesson to remain honest. Even better, he knew Alex had a date tonight and wondered if it would spiral out of control if Alex started to lie.

Everyone left for school, Alex walking off by herself to her locker. As she opened it to grab her things, her friend Harper came over to her. "So, you do that annoying assignment last night?"
"No, I kinda didn't do it."
Her friend was shocked, "What? How could you forget? You know it's important!"
"I started it but uh, got distracted with some television," Alex said, telling a lie in response. There was a pinch above her butt as she grew a small stub.
"Uh, Alex? Something wrong? You seem surprised at something."
"Oh I uh, n-nothing at all!" Alex said, making her lie grow slightly bigger. She felt a slightly stronger pinch on her butt as the stub, a wolf tail, jutted an inch and a half longer.
"I'm just going to go to class now, I'll see you later!" Alex hurried along to her classroom, her tail fortunately not long enough to poke in her pants. While looking behind her and wondering what was happening, she bumped into none other than Paul.

"Hey there Alex! I'm looking forward to tonight. We're gonna have a fun time."
"Y-yes we are, I can't wait!" Alex stuttered.
"You look a little pale. Are you alright?"
"Oh, yeah, I'm perfectly fine today. Just a bit nervous!" Alex said, lying to her boyfriend. Her tail responded by stretching another three inches, and worse, had a very audible sound as it was slowly growing longer!
"Did you hear that? What made that sound?"
Alex became slightly more nervous, realizing what was going on, yet she blurted out "I didn't hear anything!" Alex faked coughing in order to cover up the sound of her tail growing another five inches.
"Alright, well, I'll see you tonight!" Paul said, leaving.

Alex's tail, now nearly a foot long, was making a clear jut in her pants. As she was approaching her classroom, a different girl caught a glimpse of her tail pushing against her pants and asked what Alex was hiding behind her.
"Nothing, I don't know what you're talking about!" Alex lied, wincing as she felt her tail slowly stretch about half a foot longer. She backed into her classroom and took a seat in the back of the class so nobody would further question her.

Not long after class started, which Alex was dreading knowing her growing lies were causing her trouble, her teacher went around collecting the assignment she had forgotten.
"And just what is your excuse this time?"
"I was too busy last night to finish it, but I'll definitely have it tonight!" Alex said, telling a large lie to her teacher. Her teacher walked away and started rambling about her work ethic, fortunately covering up the noise her tail was making as it grew nearly a foot bigger!
"I'm sorry about it, I'll make it up," Alex thoughtlessly said. The spell knew she was a big liar, and as soon as she said it she felt a strong hitch on her rear. She grabbed her tail but it was no use as it loudly stretched just over a foot longer! Her tail had grown so long it was easily noticeable behind her as her pants made scritching noises from the stress her tail was causing. If she lied any more it might burst out!

She fortunately did not have to lie throughout the rest of her class, and returned to her locker, which was around a corner few people went past, while avoiding anyone noticing her pants. Her friend Harper came up again while Alex was distracted putting books away in her locker.
"Hey I'm surprised the class went so w--whoa what is wrong with your pants?"
"I um, uh, w-w-well," Alex stuttered, feeling the pressure in her pants as she prepared another lie, "It's f-for a project in another class!" Alex said, her lie growing much bigger. She quickly felt her already long tail grow nearly a foot and a half longer before stopping. As her tail grew from the impact of the lie, several small tears formed on her pants.
"Whoa!" Harper exclaimed, "What did you do? It just grew longer!"
Alex became very flustered knowing her pants couldn't possibly sustain another lie. She couldn't stop herself from blurting out "I know! It's an effect I spent awhile working on!" Alex's lie growing immense, she fidgeted and dropped a pen in her hand. As she bent to pick it up, giving Harper a good look of Alex's bulge, there was a powerful surge on Alex's butt. Quivering, her tail loudly stretched inch by inch longer. For every inch it grew, more tears appeared on her pants. After seven and a half inches...
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiip!
Alex's immense wolf tail burst out her pants! Harper brought her hands to her mouth in surprise as Alex's tail continue to grow longer and longer. Without her pants to muffle it, the stretching noise grew as loud as the tail itself. The spell finally stopped the growth after over two feet.

Alex's wolf tail was swaying back and forth, over seven feet long. "You have a tail! What's happening?" Harper exclaimed.
"I have no idea!" Alex said, lying even more. With no way to hide her tail, her friend watched it spurt out nearly two and a half feet more, becoming plumper every few inches.
"Wait...are you lying to me?" Harper asked.
"N-no! There's no way I'd do th--hnnngh!!" Alex grunted, her tail quickly stretching over three feet longer.
"Aha! You are! Your lies are making you grow a long tail! How many lies have you told today?"
"Er, uh, well just a couple." Alex said, her lie having now grown huge. She covered her mouth as her giant wolf tail rapidly swayed, stuttering before bursting out one foot! And again! Then two more times! Alex's tail stood at nearly seventeen feet long!

"Maybe you can tell me the truth now?" Harper suggested, trying not to laugh at the enormous tail her friend had sprouted.
"I...okay, I've lied a lot today." Alex said, her tail making cricking noises as it receded several inches. "And I just forgot the homework due today, I'm simply forgetful," Alex's tail quivering as it shrank another foot.
"I kinda lied to my boyfriend as well," Alex said, her tail now minus a few more inches.
Alex continued to explain what had happened so far today, every time in doing so her tail reacted by becoming a few more inches shorter. After several minutes of talking nothing but the truth, Alex had completely lost her wolf tail.
"Phew," she sighed, "that wasn't a fun experience."
"And you need new pants!"
"Right," Alex responded, "I'm going to go home now anyways, get ready for my date tonight.

Alex was preparing for her date tonight. She kept telling herself she shouldn't lie, or else she'll be in an even bigger mess than before. She figured even if she did, a small tail wouldn't be hard to hide. She wasn't aware of how the curse worked, however.

She left the house and met Paul at a secluded basketball court, free from interruptions. He invited her to a friendly game, and during it hoped to talk about recent events.
"Hey, sorry about earlier today. I trust everything went fine for you?" Paul asked.
Alex couldn't admit the truth to her boyfriend, so instead she calmly lied, "Yeah, everything today has been well."
Alex was ready to feel an itch on her rear, expecting her tail to grow, but nothing happened. Suddenly, her nose slightly sparkled as it became partially wooden and stretched about half an inch longer! Alex was wide-eyed in surprise as, unlike a tail, a wooden nose would be difficult to hide.
"There it is again, that weird noise," Paul responded to Alex's lie.
"Oh, it's nothing, just my foot rubbing against the court!" Alex said, lying again and further becoming a living Pinocchio as her nose grew an inch longer as magic sparkles surrounded it, with a leaf sprouting on the end of it. Alex now dreaded the evening, trying to stop it from becoming worse.

As the pair continued playing, Paul looked at Alex and asked, "Hey, did you do something to your nose?"
"What? Oh, uh, nothing's different about it!" Alex's nose sparkled even more as it grew two more inches to double in length from the lie. Several more leaves popped up on her nose, with the first growing larger.
"I uh, well, actually had an incident earlier today and injured it," Alex said, making her lie grow. Her nose quickly sparkled and even slightly glowed as it grew three more inches, doubling in bright green leaves, with most of the former leaves growing bigger.

"Really, what happened?" Paul asked, glancing at Alex with the feeling she was hiding something.
"I ran into a wall," Alex lied, quickly turning around to hide her nose brightly sparkling as it stretched until it was a foot long. The beginnings of branches grew at the end of her nose, with tiny leaves on them. "Oh, and had to sit at the nurse's office until it healed," spouted Alex as she expanded her lie. Her nose twinkled outwards another half a foot, the branches growing a few inches longer as more leaves grew bigger on them.
"I bet that took awhile to heal."
"Well, not really because it never hurt too much!" Alex exclaimed, her nose glowing brighter as it stretched a whole foot more outwards. Small flower buds sprouted on various parts of her nose, more leaves grew, and another branch started to extend at the base of her nose, close to Alex's face.
"The ice pack I was given was really cold, though" Alex said, continuing to make her lie bigger. Magical sparkles surrounded her nose as it stretched one and a half feet outwards. Many more leaves and buds sprouted, and Alex stared cross eyes at the branch in front of her face expanding with leaves. Becoming Pinocchio indeed, Alex's nose was quickly resembling a long tree branch.

"Really now," Paul said, his back to Alex.
"Yeah, it wasn't fun," Alex once more lied in response, her nose brightly glowing as it grew two feet longer. The half dozen branches along her nose became thicker, dozens of leaves sprouted and many more grew bigger, and as more buds sprouted, they started to become bigger.
"But hey, I did get to skip my class!" Alex's lie growing larger. Her nose, with an array of sparkles, grew to over nine feet long. Her nose, and the accompanying larger leaves, slightly bent the end of her nose downward as it became heavier.

Paul turned to face Alex, who wasn't expecting him to look at her. Alex panicked, though Paul guessed what was happening after seeing Alex's long nose and thought to see how far Alex was willing to lie, just for fun.
"I-I uh, I can explain!" Alex pleaded, her nose quickly sparkling again and growing over four feet longer. This lie caused all of the buds to blossom into small pink flowers. Her branches grew longer.
"None of this is my fault or anything!" Alex said, lying even more. Now her nose glowed very bright and stretched five feet more, with another assortment of leaves and flowers sprouting at various points of her nose.
Alex continued to remain a liar, "It's uh, just an illusion I'm putting on!" Her nose sparkled immensely and grew six more feet. Many leaves grew to a massive size, several more branches also grew, and flowers blossomed left and right. The weight of her growing nose caused it to continue dropping towards the floor.

"Why is it so hot in here?" Alex exclaimed, becoming further flustered. "I've done nothing wrong, honestly!" Her nose glowed brighter than ever as it quickly stretched out a massive eight feet longer. Many leaves sprouted, and most of her nose's branches extended several feet in length with even more leaves sprouting as they did. Her heavy nose even further bent towards the floor.
"S-s-so as you can s-see, I can't be at fault for this! Nothing is even happening!" Alex's massive lie caused her nose to grow ten feet longer as it intensely sparkled. Additional, massive leaves kept sprouting, branches became bigger, and as her nose became more and more tree-like, it grew so heavy her wooden nose very noticeably bent until it was on the floor.

Alex was left speechless as her nose had grown over forty feet long! Paul walked over to her, grabbed his wand, and tapped Alex on the mouth. In an instant, she shuddered as she began to blurt out the truth of her day.
Alex blushed more and more noticeably as she exclaimed the truth of her embarrassing day. With each bit of truth she said, her nose became shorter and shorter. The leaves and flowers shriveled up and fell off of her nose as it shrank. Branches receded into her nose, too, until Alex's nose was back to its normal size, and better, wasn't wooden anymore.

"Why did you feel the need to lie to me?" Paul asked, hugging her.
"Um...I didn't think you'd want to stay with me," Alex said, though she didn't think this was the truth.
This time the lie caused her ears to twitch as they nearly doubled in size!
Paul smiled as Alex continued, "Really, who wouldn't leave at such a crazy story?" Her ears doubled in size again from the lie!
"I sure would!" Alex said, lying once more as she secretly found her situation amusing. Her ears doubled in size once more!
Paul laughed at the size of Alex's ears. "What? I'm not lying to you or anything!" Such a large lie caused her ears to twitch and triple in size!
Alex sighed, rubbing her six foot tall ears. She admitted the truth to him once more, her ears gradually shrinking until they too were the right size again.
"See, there was nothing to worry about!" Paul said.

As Alex laughed, the two enjoyed their company together until Alex returned home to her room, tired from the day's events. Before she could rest, her brother popped into her room.
"Hey, I take it your day was uneventful?"
"Um...yes!" From this lie, Alex was propped up a few inches as her butt grew bigger.
Knowing she was lying, he asked, "And that assignment was turned in?"
With a nervous smile, Alex responded, "Yes, it was," causing her butt to expand even more.
"And your date went well?"
"Um, of course it did!" Alex's rear tripled in size from her frequent lies.
"It was pretty uneventful, though," Alex lied once more, her butt now continuing to grow and grow until, like her tail from earlier, burst through her pants!
Like before, Alex finally admitted the truth, with her butt becoming its normal size again.

With her day over, the spell wore off, and Alex having learned that lying could only ever make a situation worse.
